Terms of service
1. About these terms
These terms apply to purchases made by consumers at sotanordic.com. The agreement consists of these terms, the information given during checkout and anything else agreed in writing. Your rights under mandatory consumer law always apply, including the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven), the Cancellation Act (angrerettloven) and the E-Commerce Act (ehandelsloven), or the equivalent law in your country. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
2. The parties
Seller: Söta, a brand of Mørck Videoproduksjon (organisation number 933 463 648 MVA), Åsryggen 1, 1166 Oslo, Norway. Email: support@sotanordic.com.
Buyer: the consumer who places the order.
3. Price
The price shown for the product, together with the shipping cost shown at checkout, is the total price you pay us. Prices for delivery in Norway include 25% Norwegian VAT (MVA). Prices for delivery outside Norway do not include import VAT or customs duty, which are paid on delivery; see the Shipping policy.
4. The contract
The contract is binding for both parties once you have submitted your order. It is not binding if there is an obvious typing or pricing error in our offer, checkout or order confirmation that you understood or should have understood. You receive an order confirmation by email, which we recommend you keep.
5. Payment
You pay by card or another payment method offered at checkout. The amount is charged when you place your order. If you cancel, or we cannot deliver, you get your money back as described in the Return and refund policy.
6. Delivery and risk
Delivery has taken place when you, or someone you name, receive the item. Delivery times and costs are described in the Shipping policy. The risk for the item passes to you when you have received it.
7. Right of withdrawal
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal. The Return and refund policy explains how to use it and includes a cancellation form.
8. Delay
If we do not deliver at the agreed time and the delay is not caused by you, you may, depending on the circumstances, insist on delivery, cancel the purchase or claim compensation under consumer law.
9. Faulty items
If the item has a defect, let us know within a reasonable time after you discovered it or should have discovered it, and no later than two years after you received it (five years for goods meant to last considerably longer). Depending on the situation, you can ask for repair, replacement or a price reduction, or cancel the purchase if the defect is not minor, under the Consumer Purchases Act or your local consumer law.
10. Personal data
We process your personal data to handle your order. Read more in our Privacy policy.
11. Disputes
Please contact us first and we will try to find a solution. If we cannot agree, consumers in Norway can ask Forbrukerrådet (the Norwegian Consumer Council) for mediation and bring the case before Forbrukerklageutvalget (the Consumer Disputes Commission). Consumers in the EU can get free help from the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net). Norwegian law applies, without limiting the mandatory consumer protection of the country you live in.
